I concluded ...I did not write all the answers down. I concluded before hand that I was finally an extrovert at 58. According to the test I am not. That's me! How ever I am a Community Chaplain, Public Speaker, Self Published Author, and I love to talk anywhere any place as if the world were my stage.

I can spend hours at home sitting in my chair talking. I know I am heard. It is a beautiful thing to me. As an introvert I had not much to say. Others moved on with the conversation(s?) while I’m still thinking about one thing that was said of interest.

I’m ready to discuss it now but they are not into discussions. Laughing at me it is said, “Oh, we are way past that!” Girls I tell you… The guy’s? They are full of bullshit! But I like to bullshit with them sometimes. Forgive me I have four sisters. I’m the only boy. Ha! Ha! Ha! And want to fight me. I ain’t got time for that… Besides, they would not let me hang out with the women, in prison.

Please visit my blogs at http://www.chaplainwinston.blogspot.com I have a unique design seeing I was a software/design developer.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12617252376283849395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1226454299010819306.post-47654967218011598432012-03-10T21:52:13.309-06:002012-03-10T21:52:13.309-06:00I know you can't buy any new books, but are gi...I know you can't buy any new books, but are giveaways still a go? Extroverts tend to feel recharged after being with many friends or in an highly energy-charged environment. To me, that was one of the biggest "Aha!" moments. It helped me understand myself and a couple other people whose behaviors I couldn't always fathom.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17003442794561859799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1226454299010819306.post-72781210081593514662012-03-07T23:36:21.595-06:002012-03-07T23:36:21.595-06:00Thanks for posting the quiz! 14/16
The classical ...Thanks for posting the quiz! 14/16

The classical distinction between extroverts and introverts as I understand it boils down to not being about "shy" versus "people person" but more about how you "recharge," whether you relax or energize by being with people or being alone. I think that's the way the terms are used in, say, the Briggs-Meyer.

So it's not about how good you are with people, but especially after reading your post I'd say, in a purely uneducated and anecdotal sorta way, that it seems that for introverts, people skills are much more of a learned behavior, something that has to be studied and acquired. I used to be /cripplingly/ shy around strangers, but now I think I am pretty good with people! At least as far as being able to charm other people's irascible parents and keep large groups of nerds from killing each other is concerned. You will laugh, but as an awkward preteen trying to learn how to be social, my role models were my cousins. Or sometimes you prefer solitude and sometimes you want to be social. Sounds like you're a pretty healthy mix!

Thanks for asking!! I'm on day 23, and it's definitely been a challenge. I have a bookshelf on GoodReads that's "Books to Buy After 100 Days" and it's getting pretty ridiculous. However, I'm definitely noticing a positive effect. I'm learning to quell that initial impulse of "I HAVE to have that book. Otherwise, I... I can't even get that far. I just have to have it." This challenge is kind of like AA for buying books.

I actually think I might do a twist on this on a regular basis... Like choose one day a month at which I can buy three books or something- after the 100 days is over. Just to impose some sense of order.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17003442794561859799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1226454299010819306.post-66670321113545027352012-02-28T05:51:33.064-06:002012-02-28T05:51:33.064-06:00I got "True" on 8 out of 16 of those que...I got "True" on 8 out of 16 of those questions.
